These are listed in order of perceived popularity amongst the locals.

Primarily listed are vegetarian/vegan friendly places because if you eat meat, then you can eat anywhere.  Visit yelp.com if you need further guidance on local restaurant choices.

All of these estbalishments are locally and independently/family owned and operated.  DIY at its yummiest!

Pizza Lucé
Award-winning gourmet pizza, weekend brunch, delivery service, full bar, and late-night dining.  Lots of delicious options for veggies/vegans.  Multiple locations throughout the Twin Cities area (Minneapolis, St. Paul, Hopkins) and one in Duluth, about two hours northeast.

Triple Rock Social Club
Not only is the Triple Rock the best music venue in the Midwest, but they also serve food.  All of your bar food favorites like wings, onion rings, burgers, and fresh soups made from scratch every day.  "Healthy" options like vegetarian hot wings, vegan sloppy joes, even vegan chili cheese fries!  They also have a weekend brunch with veg/vegan options.

Evergreen
Located in a basement on Franklin Avenue, they serve a variety of Chinese dishes, including Cantonese, Taiwanese, and Hakka specialties.  Veggie/vegan options galore!  Park in the back of the restaurant or on the street and try to not be too weirded out by the set up.  You'll see what we mean.

Kinhdo

This place is a long standing staple restaurant of veg heads in town.  They offer a serious selection of mock duck items to be savoured.  Conveniently located in Uptown next door to The Beat.  Get some!

Cake Eater Bakery
Punk babes own and operate this ultra-hip full service bakery specializing in cupcakes (vegan too!).  For the caffiene addicts, they serve Intelligensia Coffee!  Be sure to take advantage of their fun outdoor patio while devouring their treats.

Bravo! Cafe & Bakery
Do not let their website or store front deceive you.  Their mock meats are super good!  Consider it the Red Bamboo of St. Paul.  Enough said.

Bryant Lake Bowl
Locally sourced menu items because this joint is striving to be as sustainable and earth-friendly as possible.  Gluten free, veg/vegan, breakfast, and more with a funky atmosphere.

Galatic Pizza
Planet saving pizza!  Seriously!  Read their vision.  Then eat their food.  Lots of it.  Don't forget to have a slice of the vegan strawberry cheesecake made by Muddy Paws.  Best cheesecake in the north!
